This exclusive look into the world of well-dressed fashion will be called by “Yvonne Msdivadazz Forbes” Owner of LABELLELADIVA ENTERPRISES LLC.
Distinguished Titles: MUA, PR & MARKETING. EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: FASHION IN THE FAST LANE

The motto of the program, “Don’t sag, swag!”, speaks to the unfortunate concept of “sagging” that is sweeping the country, across all age groups and cultures, encouraged by rappers, rock stars, skaters, and other celebrities, in which pants are worn below the waist, and sometimes below the buttocks, showing the underwear beneath. Looked upon as “cool”, as a way to show their purported “swag”, this fad has reached epidemic proportions. “Suits-N-Swag!” seeks to restore men’s pants to the waistline, and bring dash and flair back to prominence, with hot new designs following the latest fashionable trends.

A portion of this fundraiser’s proceeds will benefit Ladydoves Self-Enrichment Organization, a Jamaica, Queens youth-development group, as well as the Boys Club of New York. Both organizations focus on helping our children grow into the leaders of tomorrow’s world, and keeping their work going is a continuous process. Interested individuals and businesses are heartily encouraged to become sponsors, joining with the show’s corporate and media sponsors, including Queen Size Magazine, Fashion Avenue News, Worldcast Media, MNS Media Group, and MyndGame. There are various vending opportunities, with customized packages available. Contact uniqueblendmodels@gmail.com for inquiries about media or corporate sponsorships.

General admission tickets are ($30), while those choosing the VIP package ($50) will receive a special goody gift bag, and sip complimentary wine or champagne during the show. The doors open at 4:30 PM, for an evening of superb men’s fashion that will have your head turning, and the streets talking…with gorgeous suits and plenty of swag!

Bridgeport flyer

A midsummer fashion extravaganza is coming to Bridgeport, Connecticut, that has the industry all abuzz, as the first annual Black Rock Beauty For All show kicks off on July 19. The event, presented by featured designers Karlene Lindsay of Karlene Lindsay Designs and Charlene Grace of Stallion Style Diva Designs, is meant to tear down stereotypical perceptions of fashion appeal, with an exciting new array of unforgettable creations, forward looking “outside the box” looks that bring a special appeal to today’s discerning fashion consumer.

Karlene Lindsay began sewing at age 9, when she produced a handmade pleated skirt, and this ignited her love for all things fashionable. Growing up, Karlene entered Gibbs College, and worked at a special-occasion shop called Blue Tulip. Bags were a major item in the store, and this inspired Karlene to branch out and create her own bag designs. Since then, she’s evolved from selling her works to family and friends, to making her creations available to the public via her website. Much popular acclaim has followed Karlene, and she wowed the crowd at the recent Immaculate Fashion Show. In addition, Karlene’s designs have made their mark at fashion shows across the US, including Fashion weeks in Jersey City, the Great Lakes, Connecticut, C’Est Magnifique Boston, and New York Fashion Week. Her work has also been covered by media outlets such as Fox 8 News and nj.com.

Fashion entrepreneur, Unique Blend plus-size model, and designer Charlene Grace is rolling out her new line of exquisite outfits made especially for women with curves at Beauty For All. Her designs cater to the full-figured woman who wants to “look fabulous at an affordable price”. Charlene, who owns the Mother2Model online boutique, says the Stallion Style Diva collection will feature both everyday apparel and custom-made pieces, in partnership with Karlene Lindsay, who furnishes shoes, and other accessories to complement each item. Charlene’s talent has been showcased at Connecticut Fashion Week, Jersey City Super Bowl Fashion Weekend, Great Lakes Ohio Fashion Week, and New Day & Assoc Model of the Year Competition 2014, among numerous other industry events. Summer in New York City got off to a truly dazzling start at the Garment District’s trendy Yotel, as curator Catherine Schuller and producer Errickson Wilcox presented Runway The Real Way, hosted by Nyeelah Lewis, featuring iconic vocalist/actress Ms. Melba Moore and celebrity designer/stylist Patricia Freeman, whose Beautiful U collection was showcased on the catwalk. This diverse, inclusive display of plus-size fashions was themed as a delightful Saturday brunch, complete with buffet, cocktails, music from DJ Mr. Marcus, and delectable “Chocolate Sexx” desserts, which were fine liqueur, enrobed in gourmet chocolate ‘shots’ by Nikki Lukes. Ms. Moore enthralled the audience with her boundless energy and silky, unforgettable voice, as Ms. Freeman’s designs premiered on the runway. Walking for Beautiful U were Curvy Chick Fitness CEO and celebrity fitness instructor Charity Lynette,Annoula Dritsas, Brittany Hudson, Michele Hilton, Ashley Hilton, Elizabeth Reyes, Daly Contreras, Yum Yum, ‘The Glamazons’ Tina Jensens, and Tjameika Wilson, all of whom made Ms. Freeman’s unique, eye-catching creations shine like the summer sun. The audience on hand was also treated to a fabulous runway walk by Ms. Camay, Host of the Ms. Camay Show, for one of the other great designs at this amazing event. Special thanks to Plus Model/Brand Ambassador Nicole Flores for bringing everyone together, Owner of Full Blossom Magazine Mello Andrews and Mr. Max “Divabetic” Szadek for lending your support and attendance.

Ms. Freeman, current stylist for Ms. Moore is also looking forward to being a major presence at Baltimore Fashion week in August. Her Beautiful U collection, part of her Denim Blu label, raises the bar in the plus-size segment of the fashion industry. With transitional separates and flowing, classy ensembles, Beautiful U is meant to transform the way the market looks at full-figured women. “I wanted to create cute looks that fit a woman’s true silhouette,” Ms. Freeman says, “I want to make women look and feel beautiful, regardless of their size.” Sharan Nixon, presenter of Baltimore Fashion Week, provided expert support to Ms. Freeman throughout the night, to help her pull everything together backstage. A tremendous job was done with make-up and hair for Melba Moore and Ms. Freeman provided by Masters Of The Brush, Vanessa Lee, Seto McCoy and Reginald.

Numerous sponsors came together to make the show a spectacular success, including Chocolate Sexx by Nikki Lukes, PBZ Executive Transportation, activist Rev Al Sharpton’s daughter, Ashley Sharpton and STYLAGA, Shylise Simpson Presenter of the 3rd Female Hip Hop Honor Awards, Curvy Chick Fitness, on behalf of MNS Media Group, Patricia Freeman, Runway The Real Way, and Yotel NYC are deeply grateful for their support. Numerous volunteers also gave tirelessly of their time to make the show a reality. As the solstice arrived overhead, marking the seasonal change, Beautiful U was making new beginnings on Earth, changing the fashion game in a big, ‘plus-sized’ way!
