FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nov 13, 2011 – Glacé Entertainment Public Relations™ & Chief Celebrity Entertainment Publicist Toni Embry Reported Today That Katy Perry Is Hosting A Free Concert, November 23rd, At The Staples Center http://www.GlacePR.com
On an appearance of The Ellen DeGeneres Show Katy Perry announced that she has added a second show at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, but the show will be free.
Set to take place on Nov. 23, one day after her sold-out show at the same venue, the free show was to give thanks to the fans for their support throughout the year. Dubbed Katy Perry Gives Thanks, the show wraps up Perry’s 122-date California Dreams trek.
“I am giving thanks to all of my fans,” said Perry on the show. “This is my big announcement on Ellen that no one has heard about or knows about. I played 121 shows up in to the 23rd date, and I want to finish it off by renting out Staples myself and giving a free concert to anyone in the world that wants to come to the California Dreams Tour as my last show.”
The singer, who has been married to British actor-comedian Russell Brand since October 2010, also discussed the possibility of starting a family.
“Yeah, I would love to have children,” she said. “I think that’s one of the reasons you get married. Especially to the person that you marry. You think, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent.
Perry appeared on Ellen to debut the music video for “The One That Got Away,” directed by Floria Sigimondi.
Thus far this year, Perry has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, had five No. 1 singles and took home an MTV VMA for video of the year. She is nominated for three American Music Awards and has seven Peoples Choice noms.
